In the beginning…

Well, for whoever is reading this, I am beginning my first blog. Abraham Piper’s great challenge on blogging convinced me, as a pastor, to blog. This blog will probably be just as much for my own benefit (if not more so) than for the benefit of others. I am one who journals, and I find great benefit in journaling, especially in processing my thoughts and expressing my prayers to God, as well as seeing his answers as I write and reflect. I hope that blogging will provide that same benefit for me. Who knows, something I find meaningful might benefit someone else as well. Regardless, I would like to give glory to God through all that I do, even in the things I write. Some of the things I write may not necessarily be of a spiritual nature (go, gophers!), but might help others to understand my likes and dislikes. Let me know if you find benefit, if you are confused (I tend to leave out words), or if you would like to interact. I will do my best. My goal is to blog at least once a week. But I am new at this, so we shall see whether it is more or less frequent. Thanks for reading!
