One of the blogs on my Sage feed is The Sola Panel, written by a group of guys in Australia who are part of Matthais Media. Their most recent blog is most convicting. Here is one quote from the article by Gavin Perkins:
Godliness in itself cannot teach the gospel. In fact, without explanatory speech, it teaches precisely the opposite of the gospel. Godly living without accompanying speech teaches religion and not grace.
It is dangerous to live the gospel without speaking. I must tell people why I am a “nice person,” as someone said about me the other day. It is all of grace, none of me, for his glory. Speak the gospel in words that confirm your actions, hopefully. Read the rest of this article here.
