The ministry of Tim Keller has changed my thinking in a number of different ways. I had Keller for a Doctor of Ministry class back in 2001, probably the class that most shaped my thinking in a number of different ways. One of those ways is the manner in which I understand my own sin. He has especially helped me in this regard through his sermon, The Prodigal Sons on the text in Luke 15 (scroll down the page at this link to listen to this sermon). Yes, both sons were prodigals. I don’t recommend a whole lot of sermons, but this one I do recommend listening to.
Keller is also coming out with a book on the same topic, entitled The Prodigal God. Click on the title to get a feel for the book, and read this link to understand why the book is titled in such a way.
